On February 28th, Queen’s Alive will be hosting a free screening of the documentary, "It’s a Girl", as part of our Motion 408 Promotion Week.

Every year in India and China, millions of babies are killed, neglected or abandoned simply because they are girls. This film tells the stories of abandoned and trafficked girls, of women who suffer extreme dowry-related violence, of brave mothers fighting to save their daughters’ lives, and of other mothers who would kill for a son. Global experts and grassroots activists put the stories in context and advocate different paths towards change, while collectively lamenting the lack of any truly effective action against this injustice.

Please join us in Ellis Hall Auditorium at 8pm for this must-see film! More information and a trailer can be found at www.itsagirlmovie.com.
