About Queen’s TALKS:

Queen’s TALKS is a student run initiative presented by the AMS Peer Support Centre, spreading the word that you don’t have to be an expert to help a friend. Through education and awareness, our goal is to encourage members in the Queen’s community and beyond to support each other in our times of need. The foundations of Queen’s TALKS are Tell them you care, Ask gently, Listen attentively, Know that you make a difference, and Stay in touch.

About the Peer Support Centre:

The Peer Support Centre is a student-run service whose mission is to enhance the well-being of the diverse student population at Queen’s University by providing drop-in and call-in one-on-one support, as well as support groups. Student volunteers provide welcoming, confidential, and empathetic peer-based support using active listening, resource referral, information guidance, and practical assistance. The Peer Support Centre is operated by the Alma Mater Society through its Social Issues Commission and is supported by Queen’s University’s Health, Counselling, and Disability Services.
